+ Project Details

"Even with an aggressive schedule, BGKA's ability to solve problems and develop creative solutions was valuable in meeting our budget and schedule goals. Their design solution accomodates the diverse functions of the space, provides a welcoming environment with natural light, and promotes collaboration across our departments. BGKA listened to our needs to bring new life to an outdated space that we are proud to call our new home."

BGKA undertook major renovations to Levels 2 and 3 of the Jesse H. Jones Communication Center Building B (CMB) for the Moody College of Communication. Areas of Level 2 and all of Level 3 were completely demolished, abated, and renovated, except for vertical circulation areas. The renovated spaces accomodate various departments within the Moody College including offices, a training room, student lounge, conference rooms, a break room, private phone rooms, and restrooms. The space also welcomed the new home for the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education & Research. BGKA's design brought in natural light to the formerly dark space, added a new entrance, and created two separate lobbies for improved circulation. In addition to architecture and interior design, BGKA also designed and coordinated the FF&E package.
