Originally planned in the modernist aesthetic by renowned architect Philip Johnson in 1956, The University of St. Thomas is directly adjacent to one of Houston’s most prominent museum districts. In 2002, BGKA was given the challenging task of creating a master plan that reconciles recent and future buildings with Johnson’s iconic campus core. The plan supports the University’s aspirations of growing to 4,000 students while densifying campus fabric and forging a stronger sense of place.
