BGKA designed Austin Community College’s new Rio Grande Campus Parking Garage and Bookstore to provide 528 much-needed parking spaces while respecting the pedestrian experience of one of Austin’s most eclectic neighborhoods. Incorporating brick chosen to match the original Austin High School, now the home of ACC’s downtown campus, the streetscape offers mixed-use storefront, oak trees, wide sidewalks, deep awnings, and clear designation of pedestrian and vehicular entrances.
