The Guadalupe River House

Sited above the Guadalupe River and capturing dramatic distant Hill Country views, this retreat is designed to reflect the owner’s desire to connect and engage with the outdoors.

The plan is organized in a linear fashion to take advantage of existing oak trees, topography, and solar orientation. The house consists of several structures all connected with porches and a dogtrot.

Respecting the Hill Country region and surrounding landscape, native materials such as limestone, metal and cedar are envisioned.
